All-In-One Diapers (AIO)
AIO diapers are the closest thing to disposables. They have an inner
absorbent layer attached to an outer waterproof layer, and have
adjustable closures (either velcro or snaps). We now offer several
hybrid AIO brands as well, which combine the ease of an AIO with
the versatility of a pocket for extra suffing!
Pros:
- Easiest to use
- No stuffing
- Closest to disposibles
Cons:
- Usually takes longest to dry
- Most expensive
We carry Drybees Hybrid, Thirsties Hybrid, and MumsBums AIO's.
Pocket Diapers
Pocket Diapers have two parts. An outer waterproof shell with a
"pocket," and an absorbent insert to "stuff" into the pocket. Pocket
diapers are the closest thing to All-In-Ones.
Pros:
- Fast drying
- Trim fit
- Similar to an All-in-One
Cons:
- Can be expensive
- Need to "stuff" when clean and "unstuff" before laundering
We carry Drybees, Happy Heinys, MumsBums, and Green Acre
Designs pocket diapers.
Diaper Inserts/ Diaper doubler
Diaper inserts and doublers add extra absorbency to any type of
cloth diaper. Most pocket diaper brands carry inserts made
specifically for their diapers. Most inserts are microfiber or hemp, or
even a combination of both. Diaper doublers add extra absorbency
to any type of cloth diapering system. They are especially useful at
night time and for older babies.
We carry inserts and doublers made by Wahmies, Thirsties, Happy
Heinys, and Green Acre Designs.
Diaper Covers
Diaper covers are made to use with prefold diapers. Unlike old style
plastic pants, diaper covers are made from PUL and feature velcro
closures.
We carry Thirsties brand diaper covers.
